Over the past 25 years, I’ve carved a distinctive path as a computer programmer, deeply engaged in the tech evolution from the late ’90s to today. Known initially by the callsign “Hackpen” and more recently as “Joker Jonny,” my moniker “Neo-Shade” reflects my preference to innovate from the background, mastering new technologies as they emerge. This journey began with mastering DOS on my first computer, a Radio Shack Tandy 3000, with a 16-bit 286 processor, memory ranging from 512 KB to 640 KB (expandable up to 16 MB), and learning the ropes of early internet access via a 1200 baud modem during my college years—a device that required a physical phone connection. Then, BBS here I come.
Throughout college, I took every available computer course, often finding myself in roles where I taught the teachers about the finer points of computing applications like Lotus 123 and later Microsoft Excel, particularly during the Windows 3.0 era. After college, I embarked on a professional path at Inca Computer Builders, a venture initiated by Wayne Huizenga and Wade Nadar aimed at transforming the custom computer market. This period was marked by collaborative innovation, including brainstorming sessions and daily discussions that enriched our creativity and technical prowess.
In 1999, I moved to Florida and launched a website search engine, which eventually led to the creation of Website Oxygen, a company founded under the guiding principle “Let Your Website Breathe.” This venture focused on providing tailored, constraint-free web solutions. I then ventured into digital marketing, notably managing A Naples Florida top law firms online presence across 82 websites, dominating visibility in legal searches across major Florida cities—mirroring traditional media successes like those of the other large Florida Law firms Television and Radio success.
In 2006, at the age of 37, during a time when the Iraq War was intensifying and there was a high demand for military personnel, I enlisted in the Army and trained as a Combat Medic. This decision brought profound personal insights and underscored the realities of military service during challenging times. After completing my military service, I leveraged my GI Bill to study Cyber Defense at Baker College back in Michigan. Here, I engaged deeply with the cyber community, participating in competitive White Hat hackathons that tested our skills in both offensive and defensive cybersecurity measures a bit different than those hackathons of today that lean more toward a development standard or finding a niche and filling it.
In 2017, I returned to Florida and decided to become a Realtor, initially aiming to step away from the computer screen and explore a different industry. However, this new role only reignited my passion for technology as I delved into the technological aspects of the real estate industry. This exploration led me full circle back to programming, driven by an undying passion for creation and innovation. Additionally, my 20+ years as a graphic artist have seamlessly integrated with the rise of AI, enhancing my ability to use Adobe products to quickly and proficiently create and develop my artistic visions. The emergence of AI tools has further refined my capabilities, allowing me to produce work that is not only innovative but also visually compelling.

Passionate about programming and education, I am deeply invested in the transformative potential of AI, agents, and swarms. With years of experience in cyber defense, I am now focused on exploring how these technologies can unite to forge an innovative and exciting future, particularly in predictive analytics and data analysis. My commitment is to drive innovation by developing advanced solutions that leverage AI, agents, and swarms in groundbreaking ways. As I look ahead, I am eager to continue contributing, creating, and shaping the industry by harnessing the full potential of these emerging technologies.

Lately, I’ve been programming and developing Neo-Shade AI, focusing on integrating my passions into a transparent platform centered around Predictive Analysis within Cryptocurrency, Dex, DeFi, Stocks, and Sports. I am deeply passionate about the tools I’m implementing to streamline processes for both myself and the wider audience. By deploying new technologies with agents programmed to find and analyze data-driven insights, I aim to achieve optimal results.
